Today's lunch

This is the advantage of having a wife-to-be and a mummy-to-be (with a passion for cooking and food) as one of your friends...

Below is today's lunch, creatively crafted by Herlina and Seruni...for me! hohoho...
I think I need to invest in some nice shapes rice molds...they really brighten up your bento!




3 cars of chicken fried rice with steamed brocolli; and a side dish of egg wrapped cheese sausage. Nyuam,...thanks girls!

Today's lunch is:


Grilled saba and brocollini; steam rice, cherry tomatoes and golden kiwi.

I think I really need to get myself a 2 tiered bento box, so I can separate food that can be reheated and that can be left cold.

@ Aina; gue emang lebih suka polos daripada motif2,..kl motif biasanya gak terlalu rame atau gue jadiin aksen (dikombinasi sama polos)

Hmm,...I quite like the colour combination in today's lunch;



I've got a bit of roast brocolli with parmesan (recommended by Debra, delicious!); a bit of boiled purple potatoes, roast chicken and honey dew melon.

I left the boiled purple potatoes plain, as I've forgotten where I put the purple potatoes recipe and I cheat with the shop-bought roast chicken...:P

And the bento box was an ice cream box,..hehehe....hence the bright blue...

bus driver wannabe?

kemaren ada kejadian lucu,...

Ceritanya gue naek bus mau ke orchard; pas naek bus udah lumayan penuh, jadinya berdiri deket pintu masuk. Gue berdirinya menghadap ke sisi sebelah kanan bus, dan ngeliat ada teenage-couple duduk pas di kursi immediately behind supir bus.

Both pake ear-piece (which is a common sight in singapore); dan si cowoq (yg duduk di window seat) pegangin disc-man gitu di lututnya. Gue sempet binggung karena gue liat itu disc-man nya gak ada kabel yg menghubungkan ke ear-piece nya dia. Trus, disc-man nya itu udah butut bin jadul banget, mana diselotip tanda + gitu. Setelah busnya jalan 5 menit-an gue baru sadar, itu disc-man dipake buat mimic-ing nyetir bus!!! alias dia berpura-pura itu discman = setir bus......oaalaahhhh.....

Dan dia "nyetir"nya tuh SERIUS loh,...(bukan kayak Maggie di opening theme nya "The Simpsons") kalo busnya minggir mau berhenti, atau busnya ngelurusin ban ke kanan, setelah belok kiri. Semua adjustment yg kecil2 itu dia lakukan juga sama discman nya itu.

Pas "ngeh" gitu gue pengen ketawa!! tapi setelah itu berlangsung terus selama gue di bus (yg cukup lama kira2 45 menit) gue mulai bertanya2 sendiri, apakah mungkin;
1. Ini anak (nggak lebih dari 18 lah) sambil latihan nyetir? buat dapet SIM? atau
2. Cita-citanya emang jadi supir bus? atau......
3. (silahkan diisi)

Ham, cheese and lettuce sandwich; stuffed mini red capsicum with cucumber and black olives; steamed corn. At the side, oranges and blueberries.

I guess you can tell where my niece got her 'snacking' attitude from, eh?

PS: Yes, sis..it wasn't enough for me. It filled just half of the bottomless pit which is my stomach. I also got some pastry for tea time...hehehe
